Baton
An industrial foundation combined with a colourful interpretation reflects the hospitality mindset of Wim and Ilse, two passionate hospitality entrepreneurs with vision and taste and a ‘love for the Spanish way of life’.
Valuable interior elements were preserved, while less valuable ones were reworked or demolished.
The result is a maximally circular, ecological, and budget-conscious design.
Positioned partially on the existing staircase, the bar maximises operational efficiency while simultaneously creating more space for seating.
The central plaza is kept as open as possible, allowing the operator to activate it for events.
A fully folding façade creates a seamless transition between the in- and outdoor space.
In summertimes, this transforms the entire restaurant into one large terrace.
